At TINA, we create products that prioritize accessibility, inclusivity, and comfort. Because, let’s be honest: Bleeding out once a month is already hard enough.
TINA’s founder, Ali Kight, was the original ‘Tina’: a natural problem solver, obsessive researcher, and ferocious advocate for women’s health. So after studying biomedical medical engineering in college, she decided that she might be able to do something to make periods suck, juuuuuust a little less. Or maybe a lot?
She spent countless hours interviewing friends about their biggest struggles with menstruation and realized how outdated and inaccessible tampons are. Ali spent the next four years in a PhD program at Stanford sketching, iterating and perfecting the prototypes that would eventually become TINA—the world’s first tampon insertion aid, designed to make tampons accessible to anyone who wants to use them!
