If you’re inserting a tampon for the first time, it’s a good idea to start with “light” or “slim” tampons. Once you feel comfortable with inserting a tampon, you may decide to switch to a “regular” or “super” tampon.
Here’s an image that shows the size difference between light, regular, and super tampons.
TINA works with standard compact tampons that look like this.
TINA also comes with a Tampon Adapter that can be attached to TINA and fits tampons like this.
Here are some light tampon brands that work well with TINA.
- Cora
- Organyc
- Tampax Pearl or Radiant (use with TINAs Tampon Adapter)
- Playtex Sport (use with TINAs Tampon Adapter)
- U by Kotex Click (use with TINAs Tampon Adapter)
You can find a complete list of compatible tampon brands here.
Loading a tampon
When you load a light tampon into TINA the lip of the tampon applicator should fit into this notch in TINA:
If you find that a light tampon doesn’t feel secure in TINA, we’ve included a tampon holder band in the accessories kit in your TINA box.
To see how to load a tampon in Tina with and without the holder band, watch this quick video.
